Anyone going to Denmark (or northern Europe) from Canada?

Alright - here goes nothing!

I'm starting this blog in the hopes that I will find someone (or some people) that can help get this idea started.

Today I decided I was going to send my girlfriend a letter for her birthday. A surprise letter.

Here's the problem: She's on the other side of the earth, and her birthday is in 1 week!

While thinking this over I realised that not only is the postal system slow and unreliable, it's down right impersonal! Machines sort the mail, unseen individuals transport it, and only occasionally do you actually see your mail man (or woman) as they deliver your mail. I realised that before the world was so organised, letters were given to whomever seemed to be travelling in the right direction in the hopes that it would arrive at some period in the future. Despite it being incredibly unreliable, slow and downright impractical, I like this method.

So, is anyone going to Denmark or Northern Europe from Canada in the next week or two? I'll be happy to reimburse you any costs, and I'd be thrilled if you made your own letter for her too!
